Jimmy- the Turning Point was sold out and the crowd was screaming and clapping all night.  This was the best I've heard the Percolators, just in time to wow the Europeans.  You looked so happy with your team.  The new CD (untitled) music sounds great, why don't you call it what you said about how you'd finish it by April, "By Hook Or By Crook".  Nice tribute to your pal, Mike Kemp, with "Prayer".  Mitch was great all night and the crowd appreciated his efforts.  From the bar I couldn't see Rodney Holmes, just the blur of white drumsticks, the fastest drummer I've ever nearly seen.  And he doesn't move his head or body at all.  Just spectacular.  And what did you put in guest Sid McGinnis' cereal- he was out of his mind great on his last solo.  Sid credits Rodney ("it's easy with him behind you).  Thanks for a great night and enjoy Europe.

Well said Rick.....Mikey will truly be missed...I remember the night Jimmy and Rando played in Bethlehem, PA and Mike and I skiped out after the show for a few night caps at a local bar next door.  After an hour or so Jimmy and Randy walked in to see Big Mike on stage with the house band...good times!!! RIP

RIP Mike Kemp, bass player and vocalist in Jim Weider's Gurus Band.  Mike was a great player and singer, always energizing the shows.  We will miss him greatly.  Our condolences to his family and to his bandmates Jimmy, Rando, Sid, Danny and Jeremy.  At 32 years, this gentle giant was too soon gone.

It is appearing more and more like Jimmy is an unoffical member of the Levon Helm Band. And I thought the LHB
couldn't get any better until now.
Thank you Jim but please don't stop making your own great music
